The Momo Necklace is a delicious combination of jade gemstones, 925 silver and freshwater pearls with a story behind. During last Christmas, my mom gave me some pearls she no longer wore. Since I'm vegan and prefer not to buy new pearls, I decided to repurpose these preloved ones into the first Momo Necklace. The first Momo Necklace sample I made, I crafted it with my Danish nieces, who happen to love crystal stones too. Together, we combined pearls and jade gemstones. And of course the first one had to be a gift for my mother. My nieces even came up with the idea to wrap it as a gift for my mom, complete with a handwritten letter from them.
Wondering about the name "Momo"? That's what my Danish nieces affectionately call my mom – “mormor” which means "grandmother" in their language.
